Carol L. Austin

Carol began working with the firm in 2004, and on a part-time basis while in law school. Upon her graduation in 2010, Carol returned to the firm, full-time, as an associate and worked closely with fellow attorney, Jerry Miller, in handling the firm's litigation. In 2012, Carol became a partner at the firm. Carol has experience handling many aspects of the litigation process from start to finish, including the investigatory process, drafting and arguing motions and legal memoranda, and conducting bench and jury trials. In collaboration with Mr. Miller, Carol has successfully litigated numerous contract disputes which resulted in verdicts for her clients in excess of $300,000, and $70,000 for breach of contract. She successfully negotiated a six figure settlement for a client who was severely injured in a personal injury case prior to filing a formal lawsuit. Carol also handles traffic infractions and DWI cases and was recently successful in having a DWI case dismissed for lack of probable cause. While Carol's primary area of practice involves handling the firm's litigation, she also routinely assists clients with negotiating and interpreting business contracts, commercial lease agreements, and business closings.

When she is not working, Carol enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and exercising.
